Altana is an AI-powered network for trusted trade, helping governments and businesses build a more resilient and secure global economy. The LSP Platform team builds products for Logistics Service Providers—freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PLs—enabling them to screen and clear shipments faster, protect customers from risk, and offer new trade intelligence services. As Senior Agent Product Manager, you will be embedded with strategic LSP customers, working from their offices alongside brokers, compliance analysts, operations leads, and IT teams. You are the product owner for Altana within each account: you understand how their business actually runs, define what Altana should do for them, and ensure deployment, adoption, and expansion. You will work closely with Technical Account Managers to set strategic direction and roadmap for each account over 12–24 months. You'll define where Altana fits in the customer's operations today and where it should go, owning the product vision and outcomes. Key responsibilities include: - Spend significant time onsite at customer locations, learning their business models, operations, and customer relationships across forwarding, brokerage, and carriage, including undocumented workarounds. - Build deep understanding of LSP business models and turn insights into clear product priorities. - Set success metrics tied to customer impact (fewer holds/detentions, faster clearance, lower compliance cost, new revenue for LSPs) and track progress. - Obsess over end-user experience of brokers, compliance analysts, and operations teams working at high volume under time pressure. - Collaborate with Enterprise and Public Sector product teams to ensure coherent, trusted data flow from shippers to LSPs to governments. - Conduct discovery, design partnerships, pilots, and post-launch feedback sessions with customers; bring insights back to the team. - Write clear requirements for engineers and prototype with AI to test ideas before production. You thrive working across cultures and time zones, operate independently while staying connected to the core team, and are relentlessly curious about how complex industries actually work. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of product management experience, ideally on data-intensive, API-driven, or workflow products for enterprise customers. - Shipped B2B products that customers rely on. - Relentlessly curious; eager to become a logistics expert without prior domain knowledge. - Want to be side-by-side with customers; prefer sitting next to a broker clearing a shipment over reading summaries. - Own and drive outcomes; define success by customer impact and iterate until product delivers. - Technical enough to own the plumbing: comfortable with APIs, EDI, ETL/ELT, JSON, and integration architecture; can go deep with engineers and customer IT teams. - Obsessed with UX; hate clunky integrations and high-friction workflows. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in forward-deployed, solutions, or customer-embedded product role at an enterprise software company. - Track record of design partnerships, pilots, or on-site discovery that shaped products and led to measurable adoption and expansion. - Experience building platform, API, or integration products where success depended on fitting into customers' existing systems. - Comfort working with AI/ML-driven products, including turning complex model outputs into actionable decisions. - Exposure to logistics, freight, customs, trade compliance, or supply chain technology (not required; learning speed valued more than prior knowledge). - Experience with products serving multiple stakeholders with competing incentives (marketplaces, networks, multi-party workflows).
