Altana is building an AI-powered network for trusted global trade. The LSP Platform team creates products for Logistics Service Providers—freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PLs—enabling them to screen and clear shipments faster, manage risk, and offer trade intelligence services.
As Senior Agent Product Manager, you will be embedded with strategic LSP customers, working from their offices alongside brokers, compliance analysts, operations leads, and IT teams. You are the product owner for Altana within each account: you understand how their business operates, define what Altana should deliver, and ensure deployment, adoption, and expansion.
You will partner closely with Technical Account Managers to set strategic direction and roadmap for each account over 12–24 months, defining where Altana fits today and where it should go. You own the product vision and the outcomes it produces.
Key responsibilities:
- Spend significant time onsite at customer locations, learning their business models, operations, and customer relationships across forwarding, brokerage, and carriage, including undocumented workarounds.
- Build deep understanding of LSP business models and translate that into clear product priorities.
- Set and track success metrics tied to customer impact: fewer holds and detentions, faster clearance, lower compliance cost, new revenue for LSPs.
- Obsess over end-user experience of brokers, compliance analysts, and operations teams working at high volume under time pressure.
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Public Sector product teams to ensure coherent, trusted data flow from shippers through LSPs to governments.
- Conduct discovery, design partnerships, pilots, and post-launch feedback sessions; bring insights back to the team.
- Write clear requirements for engineers and prototype with AI to test ideas before production.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally on data-intensive, API-driven, or workflow products for enterprise customers.
- Relentless curiosity and eagerness to become a logistics expert; comfort learning complex industry dynamics, incentives, systems, and workarounds.
- Preference for working side-by-side with customers; ability to build trust through presence, listening, and delivering working solutions.
- Ownership mindset: define success by customer impact, track progress, iterate until product delivers.
- Technical fluency: comfortable with APIs, EDI, ETL/ELT, JSON, and integration architecture; can go deep with engineers and customer IT teams.
- Obsession with UX; belief that complex processes can feel simple.
- Ability to thrive across cultures and time zones; operate independently while staying connected to core team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in forward-deployed, solutions, or customer-embedded product roles at enterprise software companies.
- Track record of design partnerships, pilots, or on-site discovery that shaped products and drove measurable adoption and expansion.
- Experience building platform, API, or integration products requiring fit into existing customer systems.
- Comfort with AI/ML-driven products; ability to turn complex model outputs into actionable decisions.
- Exposure to logistics, freight, customs, trade compliance, or supply chain technology (not required; learning speed valued more).
- Experience with products serving multiple stakeholders with competing incentives (marketplaces, networks, multi-party workflows).
Note: Employment contract runs through Deel as Altana builds EU presence. Role based in Amsterdam with flexibility to travel onsite to customer locations.
