The Senior Accounting Manager will lead core accounting operations and help scale the finance function as the company grows. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building structure and improving processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning day-to-day accounting operations: general ledger activities, transaction recording, and reconciliations
- Managing and improving Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with high accuracy
- Maintaining strong internal controls and accounting policies
- Overseeing accounting for the India subsidiary and supporting additional international entities as the company expands
- Coordinating with local service providers to ensure compliance with local accounting standards
- Supporting audit readiness efforts, including preparing reconciliations, schedules, and documentation
- Coordinating with external auditors and responding to audit requests
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and automate workflows
- Helping scale accounting infrastructure and systems
- Driving continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and efficiency
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred); 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in public and/or industry settings; strong knowledge of US GAAP; proven experience managing month-end close in fast-paced environments; hands-on experience with AP, AR, and general ledger accounting; experience with international subsidiaries (India experience a plus); strong attention to detail and organizational skills; excellent cross-functional communication. Experience with ERP and spend-management systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, Brex, Ramp) is preferred.
