Twilio is seeking a Senior Accountant for International Accounting to join the finance team, reporting to the International Accounting Manager in India. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, intercompany transactions, OPEX, and general ledger transactions. The position plays a critical role in quarter and year-end audit activities and ensures regulatory compliance with local filing requirements. Key responsibilities include: managing accounting transactions and GL reconciliations (including bank reconciliation); recording and reconciling intercompany transactions; conducting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures; preparing year-end financial statements in accordance with Ind AS; participating in internal and external audit procedures; preparing monthly and quarterly variance reports; leading resolution of accounting issues and guiding cross-functional teams on accounting impacts; developing and improving existing processes, particularly within the ERP system; and ensuring adherence to global accounting policies and procedures. Required qualifications: CA, CPA, or ACCA equivalent; 3–4 years of Record to Report / GL function experience, preferably at a multinational company; hands-on month-end close and operational accounting experience; working knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP; experience with TDS/withholding tax, GST, Companies Act, and regulatory filings; ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment; strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail; working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle or SAP preferred); advanced Excel proficiency; and strong communication and presentation skills. Desired qualifications include Big 4 audit/accounting experience, knowledge of AI tools and Power Query, and accounting/compliance knowledge for APAC countries beyond India. The role is fully remote, based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi), with occasional travel for team meetings and customer engagement.
