Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company powering the world's most ambitious AI workloads. As the Fixed Asset Accountant, you'll own the complete lifecycle of capital expenditures—from initial requisition through capitalization and ongoing tracking. You'll be the go-to expert for CAPEX vs. OPEX classification, ensuring proper accounting treatment across the organization.
Your core responsibilities include reviewing purchase requisitions to determine correct classification, reconciling capital spend by project, and collaborating with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to identify when assets are ready for capitalization. You'll reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly, prepare PPE roll-forwards across consolidated entities, and manage deposit and construction-in-progress (CIP) reconciliations.
Beyond mechanics, you'll play a key role in monthly close processes, preparing journal entries, supporting fluctuation analysis, and partnering with the Tax team on property tax reconciliations and accruals. You'll work independently on audit and due diligence requests, always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
You bring 4–6 years of combined fixed asset and general ledger accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, and solid understanding of GAAP principles. You're comfortable with large data volumes, understand internal controls and consolidations, and thrive in environments requiring detail-oriented work at speed. A forward-thinking mindset and ability to anticipate issues proactively are valued.
