You will join as Senior Accountant, taking primary ownership of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This is a hands-on technical accounting role (75% focus) with operational support responsibilities (25%).
Key technical accounting responsibilities include: GL, balance sheet, intercompany, and bank reconciliations; preparation and review of complex journal entries; fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals; lease accounting under ASC 842; accrual schedule management; variance analysis and account investigation; and support for financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
Operational support includes AP process assistance, invoice and expense review, and documentation of process improvements.
You bring 4+ years of hands-on GL accounting experience with demonstrated expertise in month-end close, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting (ASC 842), and accrual accounting. You have corporate accounting background and experience in fast-paced or growing organizations. Technical proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Workday, or similar) and advanced Excel skills are required. GL reconciliation tools experience is preferred.
You are exceptionally detail-oriented, highly organized, and methodical. You communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and can independently manage deadlines and priorities. You bring strong problem-solving skills and honest judgment to complex accounting issues.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; CPA or CPA candidate status is preferred. Fintech or mortgage lending experience, Big 4 audit background, and multi-entity accounting experience are valued.
