Rad AI is a healthcare AI company transforming radiology with AI-driven solutions. Founded by a radiologist, the company has secured over $140M in funding (Series C valuation: $528M) and serves thousands of radiologists daily across one-third of U.S. radiology groups and healthcare systems. The Senior Accountant will be a key owner of core accounting operations for this rapidly growing SaaS business. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will own significant portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Key responsibilities include: managing U.S. and Canadian payroll accounting (journal entries, reconciliations, benefits, bonuses, commissions); owning assigned general ledger accounts (cash, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, fixed assets, intercompany activity); managing accounts payable and spend operations including Ramp administration, vendor controls, and 1099 support; investigating variances and unusual items; maintaining audit-ready documentation; supporting annual audits, tax filings, and compliance; developing and documenting accounting policies and controls; identifying automation and process improvement opportunities; and driving ad hoc analyses and special projects. You will collaborate closely with FP&A, People Operations, and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with high ownership, sound judgment, and a practical problem-solving approach. You should be proactive in identifying issues, communicating clearly, and driving resolution independently. Required: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 4+ years progressive accounting experience with hands-on close and reconciliation ownership; strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; high attention to detail; clear communication; ability to manage multiple priorities independently and operate in developing processes. Preferred: SaaS, software, venture-backed, or high-growth tech company experience.
