Nooks is an applied AI lab building an Agent Workspace for GTM, designing AI agents that automate sales tasks from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. The company serves over 1,500 customers including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling, has raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, and has tripled ARR annually for three consecutive years.
The Senior Accountant will join Nooks' growing Finance team, reporting directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager. This role is central to ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting as the company scales rapidly.
Key responsibilities include executing month-end and year-end close processes with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance under US GAAP. You'll oversee integrations across the financial tech stack (Stripe, Brex, Deel) to ensure seamless sub-ledger flow into the general ledger with proper account coding and routine reconciliations. Day-to-day accounting operations—accounts payable, corporate credit cards, expense reimbursements—fall under your ownership, along with implementation and improvement of accounting policies.
You'll partner with FP&A on monthly budget vs. actual variance analyses, track departmental spending, and deliver actionable financial insights. During annual external audits and tax filings, you'll prepare audit schedules and maintain clean documentation. You'll also support tax and regulatory compliance across local, state, and international authorities, including sales and use tax compliance.
The role requires collaboration across Central European and Pacific Time zones, with flexible working hours to accommodate U.S. headquarters meetings alongside standard Central European business hours.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA a plus), 3–5+ years of accounting experience preferably in SaaS or high-growth environments, proficiency with ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar), fluency in Google Suite and modern cloud tools, fluent English, strong attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills. Public accounting (Big 4) experience is a plus.
