HiddenLayer, an AI cybersecurity company protecting against adversarial AI attacks, is seeking a Senior Accountant to help build a scalable, technology-driven finance function. Reporting to the Controller, you'll have broad exposure across accounting, finance, systems, and business operations while supporting a high-growth company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead monthly financial close activities: prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
- Own accounts payable and vendor payment processing, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment runs
- Assist with customer billing, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections follow-up, and cash application
- Partner with Finance leaders on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning initiatives
- Maintain strong internal controls while supporting day-to-day accounting operations
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate accounting workflows and improve operational efficiency through technology and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
- Support external audits, compliance activities, and special projects as the company scales
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3-5+ years of finance or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience supporting month-end close and preparing financial statements
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and leveraging AI and automation
Preferred qualifications:
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification
- Public accounting experience (Big Four or national/regional firm)
- Experience in SaaS, software, or high-growth technology companies
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Salesforce, Maxio, or similar cloud-based financial systems
