Salary: USD 115,000 - 130,000 / annual
Binance.US, a licensed and regulated U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Controllership team within the Finance department. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, you will own critical accounting functions spanning balance sheet and income statement areas, including accounts payable, travel & expense, accruals, prepaid expenses, and payroll.
Your core responsibilities include leading month-end and year-end close procedures by preparing OPEX accruals, prepaid schedules, expense allocations, payroll journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will own the accounts payable function end-to-end, managing vendor setup, purchase order issuance, invoice matching, invoice processing, and weekly AP payment cycles. You'll also process one-off and ad-hoc payments requiring judgment and discretion, manage vendor relationships, and resolve billing discrepancies.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Marketing, Compliance, and People teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data. Additional responsibilities include supporting internal and external audits by preparing documentation, assisting in developing and maintaining accounting policies and internal controls, preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and flux analysis, and developing accounting workpapers to support financial analysis and process automation. You'll review GL coding on T&E and credit card transactions, attach supporting documentation, and respond to ad-hoc financial requests.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a CPA license preferred, and bring 3-5 years of accounting experience with public accounting background preferred. Crypto accounting experience is a plus. You should demonstrate direct experience with detailed, data-intensive reconciliations, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively. Strong organizational skills, communication, and intermediate-to-advanced Excel proficiency are essential. Experience with Mac OSX, GSuite, and ERP systems like NetSuite is preferred.
