Salary: USD 105,000 - 145,000 / annual

Astranis is a venture-backed aerospace company building advanced satellites for high-orbit communications. Northern California headquarters. As Senior Accountant, you will be a core member of the accounting team responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability of financial operations. You will own general ledger operations including journal entries, monthly expense accruals, contract reviews, account reconciliations, and accurate transaction reporting in financial systems. Key responsibilities include: - Execute core accounting functions: journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close - Ensure financial results accuracy in compliance with GAAP - Partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership on financial reporting - Present monthly and quarterly results to Finance leadership - Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close and reporting cycles - Support audit preparation and work directly with external auditors - Contribute to system enhancements, internal controls, and automation initiatives You should be hands-on, detail-obsessed, and excited to improve processes in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate seamlessly shifts between executing day-to-day accounting tasks and driving improvements that scale with the company, thriving in environments with complexity and change where accounting is critical to decision-making. Requirements: 3+ years progressive accounting experience, Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field, solid GAAP knowledge, track record of month-end close execution, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex analyses), detail-oriented and highly organized. Bonus qualifications: CPA certification or CPA-track, public accounting experience, Netsuite experience, high-growth venture-backed company experience, consolidations/multiple entity structures/complex accruals experience.
