As a Senior Account Manager in the SME & Growth segment, you will own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts within the EMEA region, serving as the primary bridge between customers and the Airwallex team. You will develop comprehensive account plans, drive product adoption, deepen customer relationships, and identify expansion opportunities through regular strategic engagements. Your responsibilities include identifying and closing upsell opportunities, acting as a trusted advisor to understand customer business goals, leading complex technical and commercial negotiations, and translating customer needs into multi-product solutions.
You will operate with ownership and agility in a fast-paced, scaling environment, demonstrating strong performance against KPIs and revenue targets. Additionally, you will coach and develop junior Account Management team members while leading strategic GTM initiatives. The role is based in London with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 3 days per week in the office at Wells & More in Fitzrovia.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of customer-facing account management or sales experience, ideally in technology, software, fintech, or payments
- Proven track record of top performance and exceeding commercial targets in high-pace environments
- Strong consultative selling skills with experience managing complex sales cycles; MEDDPICC methodology preferred
- Strong analytical and strategic skills; ability to use data for account strategy and build QBRs
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-product accounts with strategic account planning
- Strong technical aptitude with solid API knowledge (required); ability to understand technical requirements and develop appropriate solutions
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with strong verbal and written English
- Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and act as trusted advisor
- Strong problem-solving, networking, and commercial judgment with resilience and bias toward action
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Startup and/or fintech experience preferred
- Salesforce experience highly regarded
