Salary: USD 145,000 - 170,000 / annual
Mainspring Energy manufactures fuel-flexible, low-emissions distributed power generators serving Fortune 500 companies, data centers, and utilities. This Senior Account Executive role is a strategic hunter position focused on closing complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure deals in the Oil & Gas and Heavy Industrial sectors.
You will own a concentrated portfolio of target accounts and drive the full sales cycle from initial interest through contract execution. This is not a business development strategy role—you are responsible for direct deal closure and meeting annual quota targets. You will build deep relationships with technical champions and C-suite executives, positioning Mainspring as the preferred long-term energy infrastructure partner.
Key responsibilities include executing target account strategies, driving deals to close, architecting future-state energy solutions for sophisticated stakeholders, articulating complex value propositions (including project finance concepts like IRR and NPV), and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and business development teams to feed market intelligence back into product roadmap.
You bring 14+ years of experience transacting complex, high-TCV enterprise deals in energy or heavy industrial sectors (distributed power generation, midstream, energy infrastructure, capital equipment). Deep domain expertise in Oil & Gas—particularly midstream or energy transition arms of integrated majors—is preferred. You have a proven track record originating, negotiating, and closing complex hardware and infrastructure deals. You are technically literate in distributed power hardware, gas blending/fuel flexibility (natural gas, field gas, propane, RNG, hydrogen), and grid interconnection constraints. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments and can build brand presence without massive corporate support structures. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Compensation: $145,000–$170,000 base salary annually, plus 100% target bonus, pre-IPO stock options, and benefits. Salary adjusted for local market conditions and experience.
