Mercury is a fintech platform providing banking, treasury, and financial workflow solutions for startups and technology companies. This role is a Senior Account Executive focused on selling credit and lending products—specifically working capital term loans and revolving lines of credit—to established mid-market brands generating $20M–$500M in annual revenue. You will own the complete sales cycle from pipeline generation through close. This includes self-sourcing prospects through outbound campaigns and strategic networking, running deep discovery conversations with founders and finance teams to understand their cash flow and capital needs, and structuring compelling offers in partnership with Mercury's underwriting team. A critical part of the role is internal selling: you'll need to build consensus across underwriting and executive leadership to move complex deals forward while maintaining credit discipline. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of quota-carrying, closing experience selling credit or lending products at a fintech lender, bank, or similar capital provider. You should have a track record closing deals with high-revenue businesses, genuine comfort with credit fundamentals (cash flow analysis, underwriting considerations, deal structuring), and demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles that span months and involve term sheets, multiple internal stakeholders, and external relationship management. You thrive in fast-moving, resourceful environments. You don't wait for inbound leads—you build pipeline through outbound prospecting and networking. When underwriting declines a deal you like, you understand the credit rationale and can restructure terms that work for everyone. You're curious about how growing businesses operate financially and energized by solving their capital problems. As deals mature, you'll identify opportunities to expand relationships into other Mercury products (banking services, credit cards, treasury solutions). You'll also share market and customer insights that inform how Mercury underwrites and prices working capital products over time. Mercury offers base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits. No variable compensation or bonus structures are currently in place.
