Instructure is hiring a Senior Account Executive to drive new business growth for Canvas, its learning management system, across the West/Central US region. You will be responsible for selling Canvas to new higher education institutions, navigating complex organizational structures, and building relationships with key decision-makers at colleges and universities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and closing new business deals with higher education institutions in the West/Central US
- Conducting thorough needs analyses and developing tailored proposals for prospective clients
- Guiding prospects through the entire purchasing process to successful closure
- Building and nurturing a robust pipeline through targeted sales strategies
- Achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Accurately forecasting sales performance and maintaining detailed account records in Salesforce CRM
- Traveling up to 25% within the region to meet with prospects and clients
- Partnering with colleagues to gain referrals and expand market presence
- Sharing insights to help clients evaluate solutions and make informed decisions

Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven sales experience, ideally in SaaS or EdTech
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in competitive environments
- Experience selling complex enterprise-level software and SaaS solutions
- Experience selling to C-suite and executive leadership
- Outstanding strategic and consultative sales skills with ability to conduct thorough needs analyses
- Understanding of educational pedagogy and LMS sales processes (preferred)
- Existing relationships within higher education institutions in West/Central US (bonus)
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field (preferred)
- Must reside in West/Central US or within convenient travel distance
