Wiz is seeking a Security Engineer to secure its products and production infrastructure. The role combines security engineering, cloud security, and DevOps expertise to protect Wiz's platform, which scans and secures over 230 billion files daily for 65% of the Fortune 100.
Key responsibilities include leading threat modeling and security reviews across Wiz's products and cloud infrastructure; building automation, policy-as-code, and security tooling to enable development teams to shift left; designing and implementing secure baselines for cloud resources and Kubernetes infrastructure; driving vulnerability management and remediation efforts across the software supply chain; extending detection and response capabilities to identify and remediate malicious activity; and building partnerships with engineering and operations teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of security engineering or security operations experience in cloud environments, strong AWS cloud security expertise (or equivalent Azure/GCP experience with some AWS), hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and container security, deep understanding of IAM and cloud identity management at scale, proven ability to lead technical security reviews and threat modeling, practical web application security knowledge (OWASP Top-10), hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Pulumi), and automation/tooling development in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent job experience, experience with globally distributed teams, experience in organizations developing software or operating managed infrastructure services, and familiarity with CNAPP, CSPM, or CIEM solutions. Candidates must have legal right to work in Spain without visa sponsorship.
