Allica Bank, the UK's fastest-growing fintech firm, is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen identity and access management (IAM) controls. This role combines day-to-day IAM operations with engineering, automation, and continuous improvement to reduce manual effort while maintaining strong security governance in a regulated banking environment.
You will operate and maintain IAM services across Microsoft Entra ID, Azure identity, and Google Cloud Platform, managing user lifecycle, access requests, provisioning, deprovisioning, and access changes. Key responsibilities include managing identity governance and access controls (RBAC, least-privilege, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management), conducting access reviews and certifications, and onboarding applications into the IAM platform with SSO, SAML/OIDC, and SCIM provisioning.
Beyond operational duties, you will identify and deliver improvements through automation, workflow optimization, and enhanced reporting. You'll support identity-related investigations, maintain IAM documentation and operational standards, and provide clear reporting to Security leadership on IAM risks and control status. The role requires balancing BAU operational work with hands-on engineering—writing scripts, documenting workflows, and automating repeatable tasks.
You should have hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure identity controls, understanding of IAM principles (least privilege, RBAC, joiner/mover/leaver processes), and experience supporting access reviews and audit evidence in regulated or control-focused environments. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with application owners, Technology, Security, and non-technical stakeholders are essential. Experience using automation and AI tools to improve processes is desirable.
