Salary: USD 103,000 - 154,000 / annual
Join Arista Networks' Operational Security team as a Security Analyst, serving as a frontline defender of the organization's infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with senior analysts to monitor security alerts across enterprise telemetry sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR), investigate potential threats, and support critical incident response efforts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and triage security alerts from various telemetry sources, escalating anomalies as necessary
- Conduct initial analysis and classification of security incidents, documenting findings
- Follow established incident response procedures and escalate to senior analysts when required
- Gather threat intelligence to enhance security monitoring capabilities
- Create and maintain internal documentation for processes and procedures
- Implement cloud security reference architectures based on Zero Trust and Least Privilege principles
- Support vulnerability management across the enterprise
- Conduct investigations and provide triage, containment, and forensic support during cloud-based security incidents
- Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security incidents
- Participate in project work, including proof-of-concepts for new tools and technology optimizations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Information Security, including 2+ years dedicated to cloud security initiatives
- Strong foundational understanding of macOS and Windows environments
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, logging platforms, firewalls, antivirus, and EDR solutions
- Core understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and security architecture
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency with minimum two major public cloud platforms (GCP and Azure preferred; AWS and OCI advantageous)
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, BTL1, or Cloud Security certifications
