Tigera is hiring an SDR Manager to lead sales development teams in Vancouver and Cork, building a consistent engine for qualified meetings and pipeline generation. You will coach SDRs on targeting, messaging, and conversation quality while working closely with Sales, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Marketing Operations to improve conversion from first touch to sales opportunity.
Tigera provides Calico, a unified network security and observability platform for Kubernetes clusters. The company powers more than 100M containers across 8M+ nodes in 166 countries, serving leading enterprises including Discover, Chipotle, NBCUniversal, Royal Bank of Canada, and Bell Canada.
This is a hands-on manager role requiring you to inspect work, coach in real time, and build repeatable outbound motions as the team and market evolve. You do not need to be a Kubernetes expert on day one, but you should be curious enough to learn the technology and help your team earn credible conversations with platform, infrastructure, networking, and security leaders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage, coach, and develop SDRs across Vancouver and Cork locations with a working cadence supporting both teams
- Set clear expectations for activity quality, account research, meeting qualification, and follow-through
- Review calls, emails, and account plans; provide specific coaching to improve conversations and conversion
- Help hire and onboard SDRs as the team grows
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to prioritize accounts, buyer roles, and use cases
- Build and test relevant messaging, sequences, call approaches, and follow-up plays in Outreach
- Turn campaign, event, partner, and inbound interest into timely, well-qualified sales conversations
- Maintain clean handoffs with account executives, including meeting context and qualification notes
- Set goals and report on qualified meetings held, meeting-to-opportunity conversion, SDR-sourced pipeline, and productivity by rep and segment
- Use Outreach and CRM data to spot bottlenecks, test changes, and share market insights
- Work with Sales leadership to agree on meeting quality standards and review outcomes regularly
Success will be measured by qualified meetings held with priority accounts, meeting acceptance and conversion to opportunities, SDR-sourced and SDR-influenced pipeline, rep development and retention, and outreach quality and market feedback.
The role is in-person 4 days a week at the downtown Vancouver office.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience coaching or managing SDRs in B2B technology sales, or a strong track record as an SDR team lead ready to take formal management responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to generate qualified meetings and pipeline through thoughtful outbound prospecting
- Hands-on experience with Outreach or comparable sales engagement platform, plus disciplined CRM use
- Excellent spoken and written English, including ability to coach clear, credible outreach to enterprise buyers
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to diagnose conversion problems and coach practical fixes
- Interest in technical products and ability to learn enough to ask useful questions and explain customer problems accurately
- Ability to work from Vancouver office and collaborate regularly with Cork teammates
- A degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, or cybersecurity is a plus
