Salary: USD 75,000 - 95,000 / annual
Boston Scientific's Neuromodulation team is seeking a Clinical Specialist II to support spinal cord stimulation (SCS) procedures and drive adoption of innovative pain management solutions in the Houston region.
In this role, you will serve as a clinical expert and trusted advisor to healthcare professionals, physicians, and hospital staff. Your primary responsibilities include:
**Clinical & Procedural Support:** Provide expert programming, troubleshooting, and intraoperative guidance during spinal cord stimulation implant procedures. Actively participate in surgical cases within hospital and ambulatory surgery center environments, delivering hands-on technical support throughout procedures.
**Patient Care & Outcomes:** Deliver comprehensive patient follow-up care, monitoring therapy progress, addressing patient needs, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes and satisfaction. Serve as a resource for current and prospective customers regarding innovations and evidence-based therapies.
**Education & Training:** Lead educational initiatives by presenting and demonstrating company products using diverse formats—presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and digital platforms. Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and informational meetings to ensure healthcare professionals remain informed about the latest advancements in product technology and therapy options.
**Relationship Building & Business Development:** Develop strong relationships with hospital and ambulatory surgery center personnel across multiple departments. Identify key decision makers, facilitate connections, and foster trust to support future sales opportunities. Actively participate in community awareness initiatives designed to increase patient volume and engagement. Proactively identify potential patients and referral sources.
**Administrative & Compliance:** Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner in full compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines. Respond promptly to office inquiries and requests, maintaining open communication and providing necessary support.
This position requires frequent travel throughout the assigned region, primarily day trips with some overnight stays. Flexibility regarding geographic territory expansion or reduction is essential.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years' work experience in a sales and/or clinical role
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Medical device sales and/or clinical education experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biology, Kinesiology, or other science field
- Experience as Physical Therapy Assistant, RN, Chiropractor Assistant, Radiologic Technician, Surgical Technician, or similar clinical field
