Embat is a fast-growing European FinTech scale-up (founded 2021, 150+ employees, €16M Series A funded) building a financial operating system for mid-market and enterprise companies. The company operates transaction engines handling high-volume payment flows and is developing EmbatOne (banking infrastructure) and TellMe (AI financial assistant for CFOs and treasury teams).
You will be the product owner and technical reference for all of Embat's SAP integrations, spanning SAP Business One, SAP Business by Design, and SAP S/4HANA (including cloud editions). This is a hybrid role combining three dimensions: product ownership (problem identification, prioritization, solution definition), functional consulting (deep SAP ecosystem knowledge), and project management (coordinating external development teams).
Key responsibilities:
- Own the product roadmap for all ERP connectors; identify problems, define requirements, and prioritize features
- Collaborate with external development partners to align technical and business specifications
- Manage the full lifecycle of connectors: development, deployment, feature updates, optimization
- Serve as primary technical support contact for ERP connector incidents; analyze root causes and escalate as needed
- Partner with Customer Success on client experience
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and clients; translate into project specifications
- Coordinate multiple external teams working in parallel; ensure communication, deadline compliance, quality
- Lead testing and integration for new connector developments
- Provide technical expertise in pre-sales demos and commercial proposals
- Support client onboarding for smooth connector implementation
Three-month objectives: become the technical and product reference for all SAP integrations with full command of each connector. Six-month objectives: reduce operational friction in external partner projects through clear processes; define and track success metrics. Twelve-month objectives: build internal IP in SAP integrations, drive continuous improvements based on data, become key reference for pre-sales and onboarding.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–3 years of experience in the SAP ecosystem, ideally in S/4HANA environments
- Functional knowledge of SAP finance, accounting, and/or treasury modules (SAP FI, SAP TR / FICO)
- Experience or familiarity with SAP integration tools: SAP PI, SAP PO, or SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)
- Ability to manage projects with multiple external teams simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to engage with both technical profiles and business stakeholders
- Product mindset: ability to prioritize, make decisions, and generate impact beyond technical execution
- Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English
- Based in Madrid, open to hybrid working arrangement
Nice-to-have:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Business Informatics, or related technical field
- Experience with SAP Business One or SAP Business by Design
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Technical background with SAP development capabilities
