Datadog's Revenue Operations & Finance team is seeking a Sales Revenue Analyst to join their Boston office and support the company's rapid growth. In this role, you will manage commission processes at scale while collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Strategy, and Operations teams.
Key responsibilities include owning the monthly sales commission process across multiple sales segments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You'll identify process gaps and inefficiencies, building practical tracking systems as the business scales. The role involves analyzing compensation results to surface trends, risks, and actionable insights for leadership. You'll review deal structures and financial terms to ensure alignment with compensation policies and revenue recognition requirements.
You'll partner with Finance, Sales, Systems, and Strategy teams to support compensation plan execution and business initiatives. A significant part of the role involves maintaining and optimizing compensation systems, reporting, and dashboarding using tools like Salesforce and CaptivateIQ to improve sales performance visibility and data integrity. You'll also work closely with senior leadership to evaluate, design, and operationalize new sales strategy programs.
The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in Finance, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Incentive Compensation, or Business Analytics, ideally within high-growth SaaS or multi-national public companies. You should have advanced Excel skills, experience with large datasets, and familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Metabase. Strong problem-solving abilities, understanding of SaaS economics and deal structuring, and comfort in fast-paced environments are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience presenting to cross-functional teams, including C-suite executives, are required. Demonstrated project ownership and ability to manage cross-functional relationships are key.
