As Sales Manager for SME & Growth, you will lead a pod of Account Executives focused on SMB and mid-market customers across the UK and select EMEA territories. This is a hands-on coaching role where you own a team quota and operate in a high-velocity sales environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coaching a high-performing team of Account Executives, setting clear expectations on activity, pipeline quality, and performance
- Running a disciplined sales operating rhythm with weekly pipeline reviews, deal strategy sessions, call coaching, and quarterly business reviews
- Embedding modern sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, SPICED, Challenger) as standard practice, driving rigorous qualification and multi-threading
- Building and scaling outbound sales motions in partnership with SDRs and Marketing, including target segment definition, cadence design, and reporting
- Maintaining CRM hygiene, data quality, and forecasting discipline to manage pipeline coverage, conversion rates, win rates, and cycle times
- Attracting, hiring, and onboarding high-caliber Account Executives with clear development paths
- Partnering with Product, Marketing, Revenue Strategy & Operations, and other cross-functional teams to feed market feedback and shape go-to-market strategy
You bring 6+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 3 years as a closing Account Executive in SMB/mid-market segments. You have 2+ years in front-line sales leadership managing AEs with a team quota in high-velocity environments. You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota and experience in high-growth tech or fintech, ideally with payments, FX, cards, accounts, or spend management products. You've demonstrated success launching or scaling new markets, regions, or business lines, and have hands-on experience building outbound motions with SDRs and Marketing. You're proficient in at least one modern B2B sales methodology and can coach others effectively. You excel at establishing strong cross-functional reporting cadences, using data to manage performance, and developing Account Executives with clear feedback and performance management.
The role is based in Manchester, UK, operating on a hybrid model with time split between office and remote work.
