DeepL is seeking an experienced Sales Leader to build and scale the Enterprise Sales team in Germany. This is a people-management role reporting to senior leadership, responsible for leading a team of 8+ Enterprise Account Executives and driving revenue growth in the German market.
Key responsibilities include: leading and inspiring the Enterprise Sales team with strategic vision; building a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and professional development; owning team performance targets and creating processes and playbooks for sustainable growth; collaborating with Sales Development, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to align priorities; developing deep product and competitive knowledge to support the team; building and analyzing sales pipelines to identify trends and improve processes; reporting predictably to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and forecasting; and establishing scalable policies that enable long-term success.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in sales, ideally in B2B SaaS scale-ups where you've experienced growth from early-stage to structured operations; proven experience managing and developing Enterprise Account Executive teams with genuine passion for developing people; currently or recently leading a team of at least 8 Enterprise AEs in B2B SaaS; strong understanding of SaaS business models, collaboration technology, and enterprise buying cycles; track record of achieving personal and team goals while building repeatable conditions for success; exceptional coaching, mentoring, and communication skills; comfort with ambiguity and ability to bring clarity to fast-moving situations; genuine enthusiasm for customer relationships; and fluency in German and English with negotiation ability in both languages.
