Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations in physical operations—agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing—to harness IoT data for actionable insights and operational improvement. As a Sales Engineer in the Mid Market segment, you'll be an integral part of a diverse team modernizing essential industries through cutting-edge IoT solutions.
You'll develop deep expertise in Samsara's product portfolio, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. Your work directly contributes to cleaner, more efficient supply chains by creating safer roadways, reducing fuel consumption and emissions, and providing a consolidated platform for connected operations.
Key responsibilities include: becoming an expert on Samsara products and their real-world applications; articulating to prospects how businesses like theirs use Samsara to solve industry-specific challenges; delivering work products that close deals (discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, POC implementations); guiding installers through deployment scenarios and best practices; writing scripts against the open API to solve real-world problems; acting as a consultant to deepen account entrenchment (integration, upsell, cross-sell); and serving as a liaison between product and sales teams, translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.
Your daily customer engagements will span logistics management, workplace safety programs, fleet maintenance strategies, global asset management, and regulatory compliance. You'll develop thorough understanding of IoT hardware and sensors, hands-on installation strategies, data collection over carrier networks, cloud infrastructure, and third-party system integrations.
This remote position is open to candidates in the Southeast US (excluding SF Bay Area, NYC Metro, and DC Metro). The role requires up to 50% travel, and proximity to an international airport is preferred. You'll be part of a recently public company with autonomy and support to make long-term impact.
