Zscaler is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join the Enterprise SE team in Tokyo. You will report to the Manager of Sales Engineering and work within the Sales and Go-to-Market department, supporting the company's mission to lead in cloud security through the Zero Trust Exchange platform.
In this hybrid role, you will provide technical expertise and strategic advice to enterprise customers, taking total ownership of the technical sale and associated processes. You will independently deliver high-impact sales pitches, technical demonstrations, and whiteboard presentations to prospective clients. Your work will help cement Zscaler's position as the world leader in cloud security through technical excellence and trusted partnerships.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with extensive experience as a Sales Engineer or systems integrator
- 5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales roles, with at least 2 years focused on selling security or networking solutions in direct or high-touch sales environments
- Technical proficiency in HTTP and web-related technologies
- High fluency in written and spoken Japanese
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with routing and switching products, including complex troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of SaaS-based technologies and network security frameworks
- Hands-on experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of macOS, UNIX/Linux, and Windows-based systems
