Resonate is seeking a Sales Engineer, Data to serve as the technical and data authority in enterprise sales cycles for AI-powered consumer data and intelligence solutions. This is an individual contributor role with high autonomy, partnering with Sales Executives to understand client problems, design solutions, and drive deal closure through technical credibility. Key responsibilities include leading technical discovery with prospects to understand their business problems, data environments, and success metrics before proposing solutions. You'll scope and design solutions against client requirements, own technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, and act as a trusted advisor to senior marketing, insights, and commercial stakeholders. You'll build and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations covering the platform, data, architecture, methodology, and case studies—from remote briefings to in-person sessions with senior leaders at major brands, agencies, and media companies. Additional duties include running pilots and proof-of-concepts, leading data assessments and implementation engagements, and carrying Resonate's perspective on privacy, identity, and attribution into client conversations and industry events. You'll bring client needs and platform enhancement requests back to Research and Product teams, where they carry significant weight. Required qualifications include 5+ years in technical pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions architecture with data, identity, or modeling experience. You need a consultative approach focused on discovery and problem diagnosis rather than feature tours. Strong knowledge of adtech, martech, and data ecosystems is essential, along with expert knowledge of privacy regulations for first-party data handling and deep familiarity with data append deliveries, file matching, and match rate conversations. You must be fluent in data concepts including data lakes, APIs, MCP, PII handling, identity resolution, and downstream activation endpoints. A track record of building credibility with senior non-technical stakeholders through clear presentation and writing is critical. Comfort with high autonomy in a growth-stage environment is required. Strong signals include hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS, and Box; activation platforms like The Trade Desk, Adobe, Google, and Meta; understanding of data science techniques and modeling best practices; software experience in marketing analytics, data enhancement, marketing automation, or media technology; and knowledge of the martech vendor ecosystem, especially programmatic players like DSPs and DMPs.
