This Sales Engineer role is 100% remote and based in the Central or West Coast US. You will work closely with the Precisely Sales team to deliver technical product presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, solution discovery sessions, and pre-sales training both online and in person. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, prospects, and partners, influencing their understanding of Precisely's technical superiority while supporting Account Executives in closing deals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate in all stages of the sales process, performing technical and business value discovery to identify customer pain points and solutions
- Present Precisely solutions through custom demos, workshops, proof of concepts, pilot projects, and assisted trials
- Leverage knowledge of SAP and Precisely products with consultative skills to assess customer needs and demonstrate solution value
- Work across modern tech stacks including Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and GCP to build custom Precisely solutions using APIs, SDKs, MCPs, and AI agents
- Deliver end-to-end solutions that support cloud modernization and AI-driven initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor on data strategy
- Contribute to a library of reusable demos, documents, and pre-sales assets
- Travel approximately 25-30% as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical field
- 2+ years of experience with SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP MDG, BTP, etc.)
- Proven relationship management experience with ability to communicate, present to, and influence both technical and operational stakeholders including C-Suite
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure and SaaS architecture, including AWS
- Demonstrable experience with generative AI and MCP Servers
- Understanding of LLM fundamentals (prompting, context window, RAG, fine-tuning tradeoffs)
- Familiarity with AI/ML deployment patterns (APIs, cloud services, on-prem, edge)
- Ability to evaluate AI vendor claims critically and convert AI capabilities into customer outcomes
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with data enrichment, location intelligence, data quality, data governance, data integration, SAP automation, or MDM solutions
- Experience developing solutions using Scala, Python, Java, or Spark frameworks in Databricks environments
