ServiceNow is seeking a Sales Director for the Amsterdam region to lead a team of Sales Executives and drive new business growth. This is a leadership role focused on building and executing regional sales strategy in conjunction with Sales Operations, including competitive analysis, territory planning, and opportunity development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and managing a team of direct Sales Executives, with recruitment, coaching, and mentoring to drive excellence
- Developing and executing regional sales strategy and go-to-market approach
- Territory planning, quota development, and performance expectation-setting
- Active engagement in opportunity development and supporting field sales teams in closing deals
- Managing and reporting accurate forecasts and pipelines to leadership
- Achieving annual sales goals on quarterly and annual basis
- Engaging at C-level with customers to understand business requirements
- Building cross-functional relationships with Solution Consulting, Business Units, Professional Services, Marketing, partners, and ServiceNow executives
- Retaining and growing existing customer base through regular strategic engagement

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact)
- Extensive track record of new business sales success with strong presentation and negotiation skills, including C-level experience
- Proven success recruiting, coaching, and managing exceptional sales teams
- Strong strategic thinking with analytical and financial planning skills to meet and exceed quotas
- Ownership of accurate CRM reporting including quarterly forecasts and opportunity inspection
- Experience driving sales processes and effective working relationships with Sales Operations
- Understanding of IT business drivers and the bigger picture
- Ability to build long-term strategic and senior-level relationships
- Adaptability and effectiveness in rapidly changing, growing environments
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Track record building self-motivated sales teams with culture of collaboration and overachievement
- Demonstrated ability to champion top performers, develop and coach teams, and topgrade appropriately
- Proven partner relationships and networks; ability to grow revenue streams through partner ecosystem
- Ownership of pipeline generation activities from marketing or partner community
- Solid expertise in the Financial Services Industry (FSI) sector
- Fluent in Dutch and English
