Salary: USD 98,347 - 109,995 / annual

Carta is a leading software platform serving the private capital markets, trusted by 65,000+ companies across venture capital, private equity, and private credit. The company is building an end-to-end ERP platform for private markets, with a specialized Fund Administration platform supporting 9,000+ funds representing nearly $185B in AUM. You'll join Carta Law's Americas Sales team as a Sales Development Representative, reporting to the Sales Development Director. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role at the commercial frontier of a rapidly scaling business, with a clear progression path into full closing roles for strong performers. Your core responsibilities include: • Own outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, cold calling, and digital outreach to identify and engage legal leaders, fund managers, and asset managers. Your goal is to spark conversations and book qualified meetings for Sales Directors. • Build and maintain sharp, well-researched prospect target lists in collaboration with Sales Directors and fellow SDRs, translating research into real commercial opportunities. • Maintain accurate CRM records of all sales activity and client interactions, ensuring the team has a clear, reliable view of pipeline and progress. • Assist in preparing sales collateral and presentations that articulate Carta Law's value proposition to sophisticated legal and fund clients. • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to ensure your outreach is timely, relevant, and positioned to land. You bring 1+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record in outbound prospecting. You're comfortable with cold outreach and rejection, and you know how to earn conversations with sophisticated prospects including lawyers, CCOs, and fund partners. You're organized and self-directed, managing your own pipeline and prioritizing effectively without needing to be chased. You have working knowledge of CRM systems and treat data hygiene as a professional standard. You're flexible, growth-oriented, and motivated by the career path this role opens up. You must be able to work Eastern Time hours (9am–6pm ET), Monday to Friday.
