Flex is a growth-stage fintech company headquartered in NYC that is transforming how renters pay their rent. The company enables users to pay rent throughout the month on a flexible schedule that fits their finances, rather than requiring a single lump-sum payment. Flex partners with property management companies to offer this flexibility to their residents.
As a Sales Development Representative I, you will be a foundational member of a high-performing sales team. This role is designed as the start of a real career path, not just an entry-level position. You will build the pipeline that fuels company growth while receiving deliberate development from day one through structured onboarding and enablement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Winning new client relationships and driving revenue across the rental real estate space
- Managing a robust CRM pipeline, keeping it sharp and current
- Developing creative, tailored prospecting approaches for different personas and businesses
- Establishing relationships with senior executives and decision-makers through persistent outbound efforts
- Quickly following up on all inbound leads
- Educating prospective customers on how Flex helps property management companies offer financial flexibility to residents
- Collaborating with the Accounts team to shape strategic adoption plans for new customers
- Taking initiative on ad-hoc projects across the sales organization
The role is hybrid out of the Salt Lake City office (Lehi, UT), requiring 3 days per week in-office. You will also travel for company offsites in Mexico, Sales Kickoff in Florida, and onboarding in NYC.
Flex provides structured support including a 90-day onboarding program with foundational training, tool ramp, and certifications. You will have an assigned AE mentor and a manager who coaches you weekly. The company offers ongoing enablement with monthly development themes and a clear path to promotion to SDR II based on objective criteria, with tracks into Account Executive or Account Management roles.
Requirements:
- Self-starter with genuine hunger for success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with middle management and ownership quickly and authentically
- Fast-moving, flexible mindset; comfort operating without everything mapped out
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively
