Inspira Education Group is a fast-growing edtech startup democratizing access to high-quality coaching for students pursuing medical, legal, business, and college admissions. The company operates as the world's leading network of top admissions coaches, combining software and services to disrupt traditional application processes. Backed by leading VCs including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, Craft Ventures, and founder Jeff Fluhr (StubHub), Inspira is scaling rapidly.
This role is titled Sales Development Representative but functions as a talent acquisition specialist. Rather than prospecting for sales opportunities, you'll apply SDR-style outreach and pipeline-building skills to identify and engage candidates for key roles across the company. You'll work directly with the founding team to understand hiring priorities, evaluate candidate fit, and build relationships with prospective hires before they're actively job-seeking.
Key responsibilities include researching and identifying candidates via LinkedIn and other sourcing tools, writing personalized outreach messages to build candidate relationships, managing pipeline activity in the ATS, refining sourcing approaches based on what resonates with different candidate profiles, and supporting founders with ad hoc hiring projects as priorities shift.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of SDR or comparable outbound prospecting experience. You should be high-energy with strong work ethic, comfortable with high-volume outreach and consistent follow-up, and possess excellent written communication skills for crafting compelling personalized messages. Organization and attention to detail are essential for managing a large active pipeline. You should be excited about working closely with founders, taking on real responsibility early in your career, and learning a skill set outside the traditional sales path.
The role requires full-time in-office attendance five days per week at the NYC office in Gramercy. Inspira offers comprehensive benefits including 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, pre-tax benefits (FSA, DCFSA, HSA, commuter), flexible PTO, paid holidays, and 401(k) with company match.
