Heidi Health is an AI-powered healthcare platform that has scaled from $1M to $50M ARR in two years, supporting 2.8 million patient sessions weekly across 190+ countries. The company recently raised $340M (Series C led by Blackbird plus $240M growth investment from General Catalyst) to expand its medical scribe and clinical AI offerings.
As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be one of the first voices clinicians encounter when discovering Heidi. You'll serve as the bridge between curious clinicians and Account Executives, converting cold outreach into warm pipeline and qualifying inbound interest into booked discovery and demo calls.
Key responsibilities:
- Research and prospect into clinic networks, GP practices, and health systems to build qualified pipeline for AEs
- Execute outbound sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn, testing messaging and iterating based on market response
- Qualify inbound leads with genuine clinical understanding, asking discovery questions before AE handoff
- Book discovery calls by conducting thorough pre-call homework so clinicians feel prepared
- Maintain CRM discipline with accurate activity tracking and pipeline data
- Collaborate with marketing and AE teams to share market feedback, objections, and what resonates with different clinical audiences
This is a high-velocity role within a startup moving fast. The feedback loop is tight, and there's a real path from SDR to AE for those who earn it. You'll learn modern sales fundamentals—discovery, objection handling, CRM rigor—alongside a team building something clinicians genuinely value.
Heidi operates on outcomes over inputs, trusts you to set your own schedule, and values sustainable performance and mental health. The company is purpose-driven, focused on solving real healthcare system friction rather than following standard tech playbooks.
Requirements:
- 1+ year in an SDR, BDR, or similar outbound sales role (you know what a sequence is and have run one)
- Comfortable making cold calls without hesitation
- Clear, concise written communication; outreach emails should read like a person wrote them, not a template
- Curiosity about healthcare to learn the landscape quickly and speak credibly with clinicians and practice staff
- CRM hygiene you actually maintain, not just clean up before reviews
- Genuine interest in early-stage startup pace; you're not looking for a fully mapped playbook
