BlueOptima is an engineering intelligence platform serving large enterprises in financial services, insurance, and technology. As Sales Development Manager, you will lead the outbound pipeline generation function, directly accountable for the volume, quality, and conversion of qualified meetings booked for the enterprise sales team. You will report to the CRO alongside the Head of Sales, Head of Marketing, and Head of Channel Partnerships.
You will lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly meeting targets across enterprise accounts in core verticals (financial services, technology, healthcare). You will define and maintain the standard for what constitutes a qualified meeting. You will build and run a coaching cadence, using call intelligence, sequence data, and platform analytics to develop each team member daily—not just to report on metrics. You will partner with Marketing on target account prioritization, outreach sequence quality, and campaign-to-meeting conversion, establishing and owning the SLA between the SDR team and Marketing.
Key responsibilities include: owning and delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly meeting targets; directly managing, coaching, and developing the SDR team with performance management and culture-building; partnering with Marketing on target account lists and outreach sequences while working with the Head of Sales on seamless meeting handoffs; managing the team's data infrastructure and sales tech stack; tracking leading indicators and reporting weekly to the CRO; and identifying and implementing AI-driven process and tooling improvements that move performance meaningfully.
The role is based in London with a hybrid arrangement: 3 days in office, 2 remote. Additional flexibility includes 4 weeks per year of remote working from anywhere.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in B2B enterprise SaaS sales development, with at least 2 years leading an SDR team
- Track record of modernizing outbound motion using AI tools, conversation intelligence, and smarter sequencing to measurably lift conversion
- Deeply analytical; ability to act on data quickly rather than waiting for monthly reviews
- Experience in financial services or regulated enterprise environments (strong advantage)
- Fluency across modern sales tech stack with ability to get up to speed on BlueOptima's tools quickly and use them to coach from day one
- Builder mindset; always looking for the next competitive edge, not a maintenance-mode operator
