Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is seeking a Sales Compensation Manager to join the Sales Compensation team within the Accounting department. The role focuses on administering and scaling sales compensation programs for a fast-growing, publicly traded IoT and Connected Operations platform serving industries like agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering sales variable payments including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs for assigned sales teams
- Ensuring commission calculations comply with company policies and managing exception requests
- Maintaining sales compensation plan documents and templates with accurate, timely distribution
- Addressing commission inquiries, adjustments, and corrections while providing positive employee experience
- Validating accrual and payment results, providing business driver analysis for fluctuations
- Documenting and maintaining business processes for monthly/quarterly close and audit compliance
- Supporting commission plan participant setup including new hires, terminations, and plan changes with SOX compliance controls
- Performing User Acceptance Testing for sales incentive administration tool configurations
- Identifying and contributing to process improvements to scale operations with company growth
- Modeling and embedding Samsara's cultural principles across the organization
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-motivated, and able to multitask effectively. This role requires understanding complex commission structures and the ability to work collaboratively with Sales Management, Sales Operations, Finance, and Business Technology teams.
