Clipboard Health is a Y Combinator-backed, profitable marketplace connecting healthcare professionals with facilities across the U.S. The Sales Commission Analyst role sits at the intersection of finance, sales operations, and analytics, owning the accuracy and integrity of commission payouts for revenue-generating teams.
In this role, you will calculate and process commission payouts accurately each pay cycle, catching and resolving discrepancies before they reach paychecks. You'll own the mechanics of commission plans—including calculations, tiers, and accelerators—ensuring spreadsheets and systems remain aligned with plan documentation. You'll query and reconcile data across systems to validate commissionable revenue and investigate payout questions, partnering with Sales, Finance, and RevOps to roll out new or updated compensation plans.
You'll translate plan changes into working, auditable calculations and field rep-facing commission questions with clear, reliable written communication. Building and maintaining tools and dashboards that make commission tracking transparent and self-service for reps and managers is a key part of the role.
You bring spreadsheet mastery—building and auditing complex, multi-tab models without breaking them. You have working SQL skills and are comfortable pulling and reconciling data across sources. You can read a compensation plan document and translate it into an accurate calculation. You have sharp attention to detail, catching errors before they become payout problems, and strong written communication skills for explaining numbers to non-analysts. You take project ownership, managing commission cycles or plan rollouts from start to finish with minimal oversight.
This is an early-career role suited for someone with 0–2 years in FP&A, sales operations, commissions/compensation, analytics, or a comparable analytical role.
