Revolut is seeking a Risk Manager to lead environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk management across the organization. Operating within the second line of defence, you will develop and implement ESG risk frameworks, set standards for managing ESG risks including risk appetite and balance sheet management, and ensure first-line functions properly manage risks and controls.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining risk management policies, procedures, limits, stress testing capabilities, analytics, system support, and reporting infrastructure. You will engage with first-line business teams to identify, monitor, and govern emerging ESG risks, conduct new product risk assessments, and model ESG risks under climate stress scenarios with appropriate assumptions and calibrations.
You will monitor ESG risk exposures against established limits, investigate risk events, produce management information reports, and escalate breaches to appropriate committees. Building relationships with senior stakeholders is essential to enforce current risk management frameworks, identify emerging risks, and provide effective challenge to the business.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in ESG or climate risk management, with deep expertise in ESG risk issues and methodologies. You should have hands-on experience developing and implementing climate risk stress testing, understand global financial markets and their linkages to ESG/climate factors, and be familiar with ESG-related regulations in financial services. Experience with various stress testing methodologies, model development, implementation, and governance is required. You are comfortable breaking down complex problems, working with data, operating independently, exercising good judgment, and driving change. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. SQL or other scripting languages are a nice-to-have.
