Coupa Software is seeking a Revenue Systems Director, Platform and Architecture to lead the technical strategy and delivery of the company's revenue systems stack. This role is accountable for the architecture, build, integration, data foundation, and continuous improvement of Coupa's go-to-market technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Technical Direction: Define and maintain reference architecture for the revenue systems stack, including system-of-record designations, data model standards, integration patterns, and platform boundaries. Set technical standards for configuration, automation, extensibility, and technical debt management. Evaluate architectural options for new capabilities and recommend optimal approaches. Maintain visibility of platform roadmaps, release schedules, and end-of-life dates to plan upgrades and migrations.
Build & Continuous Improvement: Deliver technical builds against agreed roadmaps, including configuration design, environment strategy, testing, and release management. Establish and operate a continuous improvement program identifying friction points from system telemetry and measuring remediation outcomes. Define and enforce change control, documentation, and technical review standards. Own platform reliability and incident management for revenue-critical systems, including root cause analysis and preventive action.
AI & Automation: Lead technical delivery of AI and automation capabilities in the revenue stack, including evaluation of vendor and platform-native options, configuration, integration, and agent-based workflow implementation. Build instrumentation to measure AI and automation outcomes against baseline.
IT Partnership & Compliance: Serve as primary Revenue Operations interface to IT on integration architecture, enterprise platform changes, identity and access management, and shared architecture decisions. Ensure compliance with information security, data privacy, data residency, and audit requirements. Represent Revenue Systems in enterprise architecture and change advisory processes.
Vendor & Portfolio Management: Own technical evaluation and selection of platforms, including requirements definition, proof-of-concept design, and architectural assessment. Manage the Revenue Systems application portfolio, including rationalization of redundant or underutilized applications. Manage vendor technical relationships, roadmap engagement, and escalations while supporting commercial negotiations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years in go-to-market systems, Revenue Operations, Sales Systems, or enterprise applications, with significant time in technical or architectural capacity
- Demonstrated accountability for architecture and delivery of multi-platform revenue or go-to-market technology stacks
- Advanced working knowledge of Salesforce, including data model, object architecture, automation, permission architecture, release management, and customization constraints
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating integrations across go-to-market platforms, including error handling, monitoring, and data reconciliation
- Demonstrated ownership of data architecture and data quality in customer or revenue data environments
- Demonstrated experience implementing AI or automation capability in go-to-market contexts, including governance and measurement
- Demonstrated experience partnering with IT and Information Security in enterprise change and architecture processes
- Demonstrated experience leading platform evaluation, selection, and consolidation supported by documented business cases
