Braze is seeking a Revenue Staff Accountant to join its Finance team in São Paulo. This hybrid role focuses on revenue cycle management and financial accuracy for a leading customer engagement platform.
Key responsibilities include managing the AWS marketplace pipeline in coordination with deal desk, sales, and partnerships teams to ensure accuracy and compliance across business systems. You will review and approve billing and revenue accuracy for sales orders entered into financial systems, maintaining quality standards in a high-volume transactional environment.
Month-end reconciliation duties span all revenue cycle systems, including commissions tracking. You'll serve as a bridge between finance and non-finance teams, explaining revenue and commission accounting objectives while acting as a trusted finance representative. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
Additional duties include supporting quarterly and year-end audits (SOX and financial), serving as a point of contact for external auditors, and ensuring timely completion of monthly and quarterly close procedures.
You bring a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience combining public accounting and/or SaaS industry work. Required knowledge includes IFRS or ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, ASC 340 accounting, and SOX compliance requirements. You're comfortable reading and interpreting contractual language, have excellent communication skills, and can manage multiple priorities under tight timelines. Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or Zuora is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is expected.
