Mapbox is seeking a Revenue Accountant II to support its real-time location platform serving 4+ million developers globally. This is a night-shift remote role based in India, requiring alignment with U.S. Eastern business hours (6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST, with adjustments for daylight saving time). The position involves managing revenue accounting close processes, preparing monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for revenue and accounts receivable. You will manage the full accounts receivable lifecycle for committed customers—invoice preparation, collections, billing portal maintenance, and reserve recommendations. The role includes order-to-cash process management: reviewing contracts, syncing Salesforce opportunities to NetSuite, and setting up sales orders to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance. You'll respond to customer inquiries on invoices, payments, taxation, and invoicing prerequisites such as purchase orders and supplier registration. Cross-functional collaboration is essential, partnering with FP&A, Billing, Analytics, Revenue Operations, Support, and Sales teams. You'll also support annual financial statement audit preparation. Required qualifications: 3+ years of accounting experience with 1–3 years in revenue accounting, BS in Finance or Accounting, NetSuite or similar ERP system experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Desired traits include strong time management, ability to work in fast-paced environments on multiple concurrent tasks, results focus, and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include CPA with Big 4 experience, familiarity with Stripe, Salesforce, and FloQast, and experience with usage-based or consumption-based revenue models.
