Salary: USD 102,000 - 130,000 / annual
Mapbox is seeking a Revenue Accountant to support its real-time location platform serving over 4 million developers. In this role, you will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close process, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for revenue and accounts receivable accounts.
Key responsibilities include managing the full accounts receivable process for committed customers—invoice preparation, collections, customer billing portal maintenance, and reserve recommendations. You will respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, taxation, and invoicing prerequisites such as purchase orders and supplier registration forms.
You will manage the order-to-cash process by reviewing contracts, syncing opportunities from Salesforce to NetSuite, and setting up sales orders to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance. Cross-functional collaboration is essential; you will partner with FP&A, Billing, Analytics, Revenue Operations, Support, and Sales teams to support business processes and assist with annual financial statement audit preparation.
Required qualifications include a BS in Finance or Accounting, 2+ years of revenue accounting experience, and proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management, and strong communication are essential.
Desirable but not required: CPA with Big 4 experience, familiarity with Stripe, Salesforce, and FloQast, and experience with usage-based or consumption-based revenue models.
