Revolut is seeking a Retail Credit Risk Manager to oversee and manage the company's growing retail credit portfolio. This role sits within Revolut's risk function, which operates across all business functions, products, and regions to ensure safe operations.
You will be responsible for making data-driven decisions on risk-adjusted return requirements and leading both preventive and reactive actions that directly impact portfolio credit performance and profitability. Key responsibilities include:
• Overseeing exposure to retail credit risk across the organization
• Collaborating with the Risk Modelling team to design, develop, and implement retail credit risk models
• Managing risk appetite through limit calibration and continuous monitoring
• Maintaining key policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and governance
• Engaging with first-line business teams to identify, monitor, and govern emerging retail credit risks, including conducting new product risk assessments
• Interfacing with key stakeholders, committees, and regional regulators on material retail credit risk exposures and limit governance
• Quantifying risk exposures across the organization while considering stakeholder impact
• Protecting the company from excessive risk-taking to reduce both short and long-term costs
• Building trust and reputation with external stakeholders and ensuring risks remain within defined risk appetite
• Identifying emerging risks that require immediate attention or could threaten long-term viability
You should have experience in consumer credit risk within a financial institution, bank, asset management, payment institution, or related services firm. Knowledge of key lending products (credit cards, personal loans, buy now-pay later, mortgages) is essential. A quantitative background in STEM, statistics, or economics is required, along with fluency in English.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in second-line risk defense and programming skills in Python, R, or SQL. This is an opportunity to shape the future of fintech at a rapidly growing global financial super app with 75+ million customers.
