Unseenlabs is a European pioneer in maritime surveillance via radio frequency from space, operating a constellation of 22 satellites that detect, geolocalize, and characterize ships emitting RF signals. The company was founded in 2015 in Rennes and currently employs 150 people, with plans to scale to 250.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Digital Transformation & AI Director will lead the company's rapid evolution of tools, workflows, and operating practices during this critical growth phase. Working closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in an environment handling sensitive and strategic data, you will transform opportunities presented by digital tools, automation, and AI into concrete, secure, and widely-adopted solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
**Evolving practices as the company scales:** Identify practices, tools, and processes that no longer scale and evolve operating modes accordingly. Simplify team experience, reduce friction points, and foster homogeneous, efficient, and controlled usage patterns. Rapidly translate business needs into concrete operational solutions.
**Accelerating responsible AI adoption:** Identify, test, and deploy high-impact AI use cases across business functions. Guide teams in integrating AI into daily practices and evolving usage over time. Define AI tool usage conditions with the CISO based on data sensitivity, ensuring controlled processing, hosting, retention, and reuse.
**Leading transformation projects:** Prioritize and conduct digital and AI transformation projects based on business impact, feasibility, and risk level. Work in short cycles: need → prototype → test → measure → improve → deploy. Coordinate across business units, security, vendors, and service providers while embedding security and data protection requirements from the outset.
**Advancing digital maturity and responsible usage:** Support managers and employees in evolving practices and drive adoption of new tools. Structure simple standards, guides, and best practices around AI, confidentiality, and sensitive data protection. Develop a culture of responsible experimentation and surface new use cases from the field.
**Requirements:**
- Experience in scale-up, tech, or rapidly transforming enterprise environments
- Concrete experience deploying digital solutions, automation, or AI
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive usage evolution
- Experience in environments handling sensitive, technical, or strategic data (preferred)
- Good understanding of SaaS tools, automation, APIs
- Strong knowledge and hands-on practice with generative AI tools
- Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and measure their value
- Good grasp of security, confidentiality, data flow, and access control issues
- Ability to challenge vendors and solutions on data hosting, retention, and usage
