Salary: USD 275,000 - 293,000 / annual
Ceribell is a medical technology company transforming the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions through its novel point-of-care EEG platform. The Ceribell System is deployed across hundreds of community hospitals, academic facilities, and major integrated delivery networks nationwide, enabling rapid seizure detection in acute care settings.
We are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to serve as a critical strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team. This high-impact individual contributor role is central to driving the company's next phase of growth through strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and corporate development.
Key responsibilities include:
**Strategic Initiatives:** Partner with the CEO to lead and manage strategic projects, developing detailed work plans and conducting market analysis to inform executive leadership and Board decisions. Support company-level strategic decision-making on market entry, capital allocation, and M&A through data-driven analysis of market access, competitive landscape, and pricing strategy. Coordinate and drive high-priority cross-functional projects to completion.
**Executive Support:** Facilitate day-to-day operations of the CEO's office, including planning staff meetings, tracking key decisions, and ensuring timely execution of priorities. Support executive processes such as quarterly business reviews, annual operating plan development, and budgeting. Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and function as a conduit between departments to expedite information exchange and collaborative problem-solving.
**Strategic Partnerships:** Identify and evaluate potential co-commercialization partners in the neurology space. Partner with Finance on financial modeling and market sizing. Support due diligence and negotiation of complex strategic alliance and license agreements. Develop high-impact presentations translating complex technical and business risks into clear executive recommendations.
**Leadership & Culture:** Partner with the People team on executive and leadership-level hiring, onboarding, and development. Foster a constructive and inclusive company culture aligned with organizational values and mission.
**Requirements:**
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in a STEM field strongly preferred; Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields highly valued
- 8 years of business experience, with more than 3 years in management consulting, investment banking, or similar roles
- Familiarity with business development or licensing processes in pharmaceutical or medtech companies (preferred)
- Demonstrated track record in senior management capacity, preferably within medical device or healthcare sector
- Strong strategic analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across organizational levels
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive results in fast-paced, high-growth MedTech environments
- Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement
- Ability to navigate evolving environments and manage competing priorities with exceptional ethical standards, professionalism, and discretion
