Lightspeed Commerce is seeking a Senior Investor Relations Manager to join their North American team based in Montreal. This role is central to supporting Lightspeed's engagement with the investor community and communicating the company's business strategy and financial objectives to institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with financial analysts to maintain consensus estimates and present Lightspeed's business model and financial targets
- Owning the earnings release process, including investor relations press releases, earnings reports, annual reports, and quarterly materials
- Liaising with senior management and institutional investors to ensure effective communication
- Tracking and benchmarking Lightspeed's key performance indicators quarterly against comparable public companies (Shopify, Toast, Square) to assess relative performance
- Working cross-functionally with FP&A teams to respond to information requests and develop appropriate documentation
- Building and maintaining complex Excel models for Lightspeed and comparable/competitor companies; influencing senior leadership decisions through presentations and market-based strategic recommendations
- Negotiating contracts on behalf of Lightspeed and serving as primary contact for investor relations partners
- Managing and updating Lightspeed's investor relations website
- Organizing and participating in events (podcasts, webcasts, conferences) to communicate strategy and outlook to the investor community
- Collecting and analyzing reports from approximately 20 analysts covering the company to provide post-earnings updates on key metrics, price targets, ratings, and model changes
- Distributing quarterly reports and press releases to media agencies and website administrators
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in management, economics, or finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar investor relations role
- Professional designations (CFA and/or CPA) preferred or in progress
- Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models, reports, and presentations
- Deep proficiency with income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and forecasting
- Mastery of financial software (FactSet, Excel add-ons) and ability to quickly communicate insights from financial databases to stakeholders
- Knowledge of equity valuation metrics (EV/EBITDA, EV/revenue, EV/gross margin, DCF)
- Strong financial writing and communication skills
- Fluent English as a working language (company operates globally with employees and clients outside Quebec)
