dcbel is developing technology and products that make clean, efficient, and sustainable energy accessible to all. The company is at the leading edge of the residential energy revolution, enabling decentralized energy consumption and production through a vertically integrated suite of energy hardware and software products. The flagship product, the Ara Home Energy Station, is a wall-mounted device that gives homeowners ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking the EV's battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing energy flow between solar panels, EVs, backup batteries, and the grid.
As a Senior Sales Advisor, you will guide homeowners through their transition to clean, intelligent home energy. You'll act as a trusted advisor, helping customers understand dcbel's offering, confirming whether their home qualifies for installation, and converting interest into sales. You will build trust through clear, confident, and consultative conversations about energy independence, solar and energy savings, EV charging at home, and backup power during outages.
Key responsibilities include engaging directly with customers through phone, chat, email, video consultations, and digital channels to guide purchasing decisions and support online sales growth. You'll convert leads into sales by validating customer needs, confirming home eligibility for an Ara system, and walking customers through the buying experience. You own the sales process from qualified lead to closed deal, handling questions about product, pricing, programs, installation, and compatibility. You'll guide customers through deposit and payment steps and set clear expectations for installation and timelines, acting as a bridge between customers and internal teams to maintain a premium experience.
You'll conduct discovery calls to assess home suitability for installation, gathering key information such as home type, ownership, and electrical panel size. Additionally, you'll mentor and support junior sales advisors and participate in sales process improvement initiatives. Success is measured by high lead-to-sale conversion rates, strong customer satisfaction and trust scores, and accurate lead qualification with minimal drop-offs in the sales funnel.
The role requires 4-7 years of experience in customer sales or retail advisory roles with proven ability to convert leads into sales. Experience in consumer technology, premium products, or home services (solar, HVAC, EV charging) is preferred, along with interest in energy, sustainability, or electrification. Bilingual French and English is a bonus. You should thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with excellent collaboration skills, comfort explaining new concepts in simple terms, and proficiency with CRM systems. The role supports customers across multiple North American time zones and requires schedule flexibility, including potential East Coast and West Coast business hours and occasional evenings and weekends.
