Revolut is a fintech super app serving 80+ million customers globally with products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. The Legal team partners across the organization to provide practical advice that enables rapid growth while maintaining compliance and protection.
As Regulatory Counsel, you will advise on compliance and legal issues surrounding Revolut's financial products, with a focus on Swiss regulatory requirements. You will work closely with product and commercial teams to design and deliver solutions that meet Swiss legislation, manage regulatory expectations and applications, and engage directly with local regulators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on legal issues related to structuring new and existing financial products
- Drafting customer-facing legal documents for financial products
- Contributing to product and commercial teams to ensure compliance with Swiss legislation
- Managing regulatory expectations, requirements, and applications
- Engaging and working with local regulators
- Handling significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep expertise in Swiss financial regulation and the ability to operate with ambiguity while maintaining high standards of legal rigor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as a lawyer in Switzerland, either in-house or at a private practice
- Registered with the Swiss Bar, or in the process of taking the Bar exam
- Excellent academic and law firm credentials
- Experience advising on financial regulations, including banking regulations, AML regulations, and corporate law
- Confidence making decisions where there is ambiguity or incomplete information
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English (required)
- Fluency in French or German (required)
