Halter is a climate-tech company developing virtual fencing technology to help farmers and graziers run more productive and sustainable operations. The company is backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC.
This is a foundational Regional Sales Manager role for Halter's expansion into Argentina, one of the world's largest beef producers. You will be the first sales hire on the ground in the Oeste Arenoso region, responsible for building the customer base from scratch and establishing Halter's presence in this new market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing new leads through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and inbound inquiries
- Managing the full sales cycle from cold calling and on-farm meetings to closing deals
- Understanding customers' farm systems and demonstrating Halter's value proposition
- Setting quotas, commissions, and sales management processes as the team scales
- Coaching and mentoring future sales staff as the region grows
- Collaborating with Customer Success on implementations and renewals
- Building industry relationships and establishing Halter's brand in the market
- Providing customer feedback to inform product development
- Optimizing the sales process for efficiency and predictability
You will need at least five years of end-to-end sales experience with proven success sourcing prospects, securing meetings, and closing deals. Experience in beef farming or agriculture is highly desirable. Sales experience in technology-based industries is preferred. You must be fluent in Spanish with professional working English. The role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, exceptional time management, and comfort with ambiguity in building a new market. A university degree is preferred but not required.
