BrainPOP, a leading digital learning platform trusted by educators and parents for over two decades, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive net-new revenue growth across K-12 school districts in Florida. Acquired by KIRKBI (the LEGO family investment company) in 2022, BrainPOP reaches an estimated 25 million students annually across two-thirds of U.S. school districts.
The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Regional Head of Growth and Success and own the full sales lifecycle for mid- to large-sized K-12 districts in Florida. This is a field-based role requiring 50-70% regional travel to prospects and customers, with occasional travel to NYC headquarters and industry conferences.
Key responsibilities include: prospecting and closing complex, large-scale agreements (new business, upsells, cross-sells, and expansions); navigating multi-stakeholder procurement processes, RFP cycles, and board approvals; uncovering district pain points (learning loss, budget constraints, curriculum gaps) and presenting ROI-driven solutions; building product fluency to deliver compelling sales presentations and demos; leveraging deep understanding of education funding mechanisms (Title I, IDEA, ESSER, state grants); and partnering with Customer Success and Implementation teams for seamless handoffs and renewal readiness.
You will develop and execute a strategic regional territory plan, manage complex buying cycles with Superintendents, Chief Academic Officers, and IT Directors, and maintain disciplined CRM pipeline management and data-driven reporting. Success requires expertise in Florida's educational landscape, including state-specific curriculum needs, district nuances, and funding trends.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of quota-carrying, solution-based sales experience targeting K-12 school districts; experience selling to K-12 districts in Florida; demonstrated expertise and existing relationships with district-level leadership in your territory; proven track record of quota achievement over consecutive years; experience developing and executing strategic territory plans; proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce); and a valid driver's license.
Preferred qualifications: experience in supplemental curriculum; experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders; experience with sales tools (Gong Engage) and AI tools; experience selling ELL products; prior teaching experience; and a Bachelor's degree.
