8Fleet is a rapidly growing Los Angeles-based technology and logistics company building operational infrastructure for autonomous and non-autonomous rideshare fleets. They are expanding into new markets and building out their People function to scale with the organization.
As Regional Human Resources Manager, you will partner closely with site and regional leaders to support a large, fast-paced, non-exempt workforce across multiple locations. This role sits at the intersection of frontline operations and People strategy, requiring strong operational instincts paired with the ability to coach, influence, and shape teams at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Multi-location workforce support: Partner with site managers on workforce planning, driver retention, and team performance. Drive consistent People practices and policies across all sites. Support the launch and scale of new markets with HR infrastructure in place from day one. Build, monitor, and report on core people metrics (turnover, attendance, engagement, corrective actions) and drive targeted improvements.
- Employee relations and compliance: Own first-line employee relations matters with empathy and operational clarity. Support documentation, investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation. Maintain compliance with wage-and-hour regulations, break rules, scheduling laws, and labor requirements across multiple states.
- People operations partnership: Collaborate with People Ops on onboarding, data accuracy, HRIS workflows, leave management, and payroll alignment. Surface workforce trends and insights to improve systems and processes. Help identify and roll out People tools that improve clarity, speed, and accuracy.
You should have 4+ years as a People Partner or HR Manager, ideally supporting large non-exempt teams in a fast-paced startup environment. Strong operational instincts and proven experience supporting multi-location environments are essential. You'll need the ability to build process and maintain data accuracy at scale, experience coaching frontline and mid-level managers, sound judgment and clear documentation habits for employee relations issues, deep knowledge of wage-and-hour laws and labor compliance, and excellent communication skills to build trust across all organizational levels.
